Kerajaan Perak hari ini mengumumkan penyeragaman kupon parkir bagi seluruh negeri bermula 1 Januari 2019.
Menurut Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perumahan, Kerajaan Tempatan, Pengangkutan Awam, Hal Ehwal Bukan Islam dan Kampung Baharu, Yong Choo Kiong, walaupun orang ramai telah membeli kupon parkir yang lama, namun ianya masih boleh digunapakai pada tahun hadapan.
Katanya, kadar bayaran parkir akan dikekalkan dan diseragamkan di setiap 15 kawasan Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT).
Mengenai parkir, kerajaan negeri juga menawarkan diskaun bayaran kompaun kesalahan meletak kereta sebanyak 70 peratus, di seluruh negeri, selama sebulan bermula 28 Jun ini.
“Kita tidak akan menghapuskan kompaun tersebut kerana ianya bakal menjejaskan sistem pentadbiran negeri. Orang ramai juga berkemungkinan tidak akan mematuhi undang-undang kerana kompaun telah dihapuskan,” katanya kepada pemberita dipejabatnya di Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan, Ipoh pada Jumaat.
