Agong Berkenan Hulur Sumbangan Peribadi Tabung Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) | Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah hari ini berkenan, menyampaikan sumbangan peribadi untuk mengisi Tabung Khas Covid-19.

Istana Negara menerusi laman Instagram memaklumkan sumbangan itu disampaikan kepada Perdana Menteri Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, menerusi Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Istana Negara Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin.

Pada 31 Mac lepas Al-Sultan Abdullah dan Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah berkenan, supaya kerajaan tidak membayar Emolumen Diraja kepada Seri Paduka Baginda berdua selama enam bulan, bermula dari bulan Mac hingga Ogos.

Ia bagi membantu membantu meringankan beban kerajaan, dalam menangani pandemik Covid-19.

Istana Negara menerusi laman berkenaan juga berharap sumbangan dan inisiatif Seri Paduka Baginda berdua, dapat membantu usaha-usaha kerajaan menangani dan membanteras penularan virus yang diberi nama saintifik SARS-CoV-2 itu di negara ini.

Rakyat juga diminta bersama Al-Sultan Abdullah dan Tunku Azizah berdoa, agar Malaysia terus dilindungi dan dirahmati serta pandemik ini dapat dibendung dan diakhiri dengan segera.
