IPOH: Menteri Besar Perak YAB Ahmad Faizal Azumu optimis lebih ramai ahli Parlimen UMNO keluar parti dalam masa terdekat.

Menurut beliau, ini kerana mereka telah mulai sedar kemungkaran dan kecurangan yang berlaku dalam pentadbiran terdahulu. Bagaimanapun katanya lagi, sehingga kini, ahli Parlimen dari Perak belum lagi berjumpa dengan beliau untuk menyatakan hasrat keluar parti.

“Saya mendapati hari ini wakil rakyat daripada BN terutamanya semakin berasa terbuka mata apabila melihat sedikit demi sedikit pendedahan yang dibuat kerajaan sekarang.

“Apabila mereka terlihat bahawa berlaku kecurangan atau kemungkaran dalam pentadbiran terdahulu, maka mereka mungkin merasakan inilah masa terbaik untuk melakukan pembetulan,” katanya.

Ahmad Faizal berkata demikian kepada pemberita pada sesi tayangan filem `Rise Ini Kalilah’ di TGV, Aeon Station 18, Ipoh pada Rabu. Beliau mengulas tindakan dua ahli Parlimen UMNO, Ahli Parlimen Jeli, Datuk Seri Mustapha Mohamed dan Ahli Parlimen Kimanis, Datuk Seri Anifah Aman yang mengumumkan keluar UMNO dan meletakkan jawatan sebagai Ahli Majlis Tertinggi UMNO.

Sehubungan itu beliau menggalakkan wakil-wakil rakyat UMNO kembali sedar dan berjuang dengan kerajaan Pakatan Harapan dalam memperjuangkan nasib rakyat.

“Saya galakkan jika mereka kembali sedar, kembalilah ke pangkal jalan, akhirnya kerja-kerja berpolitik ini kita perlu perlahankan.

“Kita wakil rakyat mesti fokus kepada langsaikan janji-janji manifesto dan memperbaiki kehidupan rakyat, jangan terlalu berpolitik dan saya yakin ramai lagi akan keluar,” katanya.
