KKM Tambah Jadual Imunisasi Vaksin Kanak-kanak

KUALA LUMPUR | Jadual Imunisasi Nasional untuk Kanak-kanak yang merangkumi 5-siri vaksin akan ditambah menjadi 6-siri, umum Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM).

Jadual itu akan dilaksanakan secara berperingkat bermula awal bulan ini.

Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah berkata gabungan 5-siri vaksin – difteria-tetanus-pertussis-polio-Haemophilus influenza Type B (pentavalent DTaP-IPP / Hib) – akan diganti dengan difteria, tetanus, pertusis, polio, Hepatitis B dan Haemophilus influenzae Type B (heksavalen DTaP-IPV-HepB-Hib).

“Sebanyak empat dos akan diberikan kepada anak-anak pada usia dua bulan, tiga bulan, lima bulan, dan 18 bulan.

“Vaksin Hepatitis B yang diberikan setelah kelahiran akan berlanjutan tetapi dos yang diberikan pada satu bulan dan enam bulan tidak akan diperlukan lagi kerana komponen vaksin Hepatitis B telah dimasukkan dalam program vaksinasi 6-siri,” kata Noor Hisham dalam satu kenyataan hari ini.

Jadual imunisasi baru akan menyaksikan kanak-kanak mendapat suntikan yang berkurang sedikit iaitu lima berbanding tujuh sebelumnya.

“Bagaimanapun, ibu bapa masih perlu membawa anak-anak mereka ke kemudahan penjagaan kesihatan untuk diperhatikan seperti yang dinyatakan dalam Buku Rekod Kesihatan Bayi dan Kanak-kanak (0-6 tahun),” katanya.

Dr Noor Hisham berkata, program vaksinasi 6-siri ini berkesan dan selamat dengan kesan buruknya selepas imunisasi (AEFI) dipantau oleh Bahagian Peraturan Farmasi Nasional (NPRA).

Kemudahan kesihatan swasta di negara ini telah menggunakan program vaksinasi 6-siri sejak 2013 dan tidak ada masalah keselamatan yang serius dilaporkan.

“Namun, ini adalah program vaksinasi baru di bawah Program Imunisasi Nasional di fasiliti KKM. Oleh itu, KKM akan melakukan pemerhatian AEFI pada setiap anak setelah setiap dos, ”tambahnya.

Ibu bapa dinasihatkan untuk melaporkan apa-apa kesan buruk yang dialami oleh anak mereka kepada pegawai kesihatan selepas setiap suntikan dengan mengembalikan borang pelaporan atau menyerahkan perkara itu terus ke NPRA melalui npra.gov.my.
