BUTTERWORTH | Pasar Hari Apollo di Raja Uda di sini diarah tutup selama tujuh hari kerana tidak mematuhi prosedur operasi standard (SOP) semasa Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP 2.0).

Perintah penutupan itu yang dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Kesehatan pagi ini, adalah untuk membolehkan pihak penganjur pasar membuat pengaturan yang diperlukan untuk memastikan pematuhan ketat terhadap PKP 2.0, menurut laporan NST.

Ketua Polis Daerah Seberang Prai Utara Asisten Komisioner Noorzainy Mohd Noor berkata, pemeriksaan di Pasar Hari Apollo pagi ini mendapati pihak penganjur gagal mengawal pergerakan keluar masuk orang ramai di pasar itu.

“Tidak ada jarak fisikal di pasar yang penuh sesak.

“Semasa pemeriksaan, kami juga mendapati bahawa pintu masuk ke pasar tidak ditandai. Ini menyebabkan pengunjung beratur hingga ke bahu jalan, membahayakan nyawa mereka,” katanya hari ini.

Pasar Hari Apollo didirikan di kedua-dua belah jalan, yang berbeza dengan Pasar Awam Apollo.

Pasar Awam Apollo dikendalikan dengan baik oleh Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Prai.

Noorzainy berkata, polis telah memerintahkan pihak penganjur pasar untuk mengosongkan tempat letak motosikal agar kawasan tempat letak kereta dapat digunakan oleh para pejalan kaki untuk berbaris untuk masuk ke pasar.

“Kami juga telah mengarahkan pihak penganjur untuk mengawal dan membatasi jumlah pengunjung untuk melihat jarak fizikal,” tambahnya.
