Kerajaan Bina Tembok Penghadang Elak Kejadian Limpahan Air Berulang

IPOH: Kerajaan negeri akan membina tembok penghadang sebagai langkah langkah jangka pendek susulan kejadian limpahan air di Jalan Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highland semalam.

Menurut Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Kemudahan Awam Dan Infrasrtuktur, Pertanian dan Perladangan negeri Perak, Abdul Yunus Jamhari, pembinaan penghadang itu yang membabit kos RM20,000 akan disiapkan dalam tempoh terdekat.

Katanya, sebagai langkah jangka panjang pula, kerajaan telah melantik perunding untuk mengkaji pembinaan tembok kekal dengan anggaran kos RM100,000.

“Kita akan menambah ciri-ciri keselamatan seperti pemasangan papan tanda amaran dan lampu limpah,” katanya kepada pemberita di Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan, Ipoh pada Khamis.

Pagi tadi beliau telah melawat tempat kejadian bersama-sama pegawai-pegawai dari Jabatan Kerja Raya, Unit Cerun Kementerian Kerja Raya dan pihak konsensi.

Dalam kejadian limpahan air kira-kira jam 3 petang yang tular di media sosial semalam, air dari atas bukit melimpah ke atas jalan di laluan FT 185, Jalan Simpang Pulai – Cameron Highland menyebabkan kesesakan lalulintas.

Tiada kejadian kemalangan dilaporkan berlaku susulan limpahan air kira-kira sejam itu.

Menurut Abdul Yunus, pakar dari Unit Cerun juga akan mengkaji langkah jangka panjang bagi mengelakkan kejadian yang sama berulang antaranya cadangan untuk memperlahankan aliran air sekiranya berlaku hujan lebat.
