PUTRAJAYA (BERNAMA) | Kira-kira 40 peratus daripada 16.060 katil untuk merawat pesakit COVID-19 di hospital dan Pusat Rawatan Kuarantin dan Risiko Rendah (PKRC) di seluruh negara digunakan pada jam 10 malam semalam.

Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah mengatakan terdapat 44 hospital Kementerian Kesihatan (KKM) dan dua hospital pengajian yang menyediakan rawatan untuk COVID-19 yang mempunyai 3,825 tempat tidur dengan kadar penggunaan 54 peratus.

KKM juga menyediakan 12,235 katil tambahan di 60 PKRC yang kini beroperasi di seluruh negara. Sehingga kini, kadar penggunaan katil di PKRC adalah 36 peratus, “katanya pada sidang media mengenai perkembangan COVID-19 di KKM, di sini, hari ini.

Di Sabah, Dr Noor Hisham mengatakan sembilan dari 24 hospital kerajaan di seluruh negeri digunakan sebagai Hospital Hybrid COVID-19 yang menyediakan perkhidmatan untuk pesakit COVID-19 dan juga terus memberikan perkhidmatan perubatan lain.

Hingga kini, katanya sebanyak 1,007 katil di sembilan hospital disediakan untuk pesakit COVID-19 pada kadar penggunaan 77 peratus sementara kadar penggunaan di 28 PKRC dengan 7,386 katil adalah 43 peratus.

Katanya, 47 peratus daripada 8,375 katil di hospital dan PKRC di negeri ini digunakan untuk merawat pesakit COVID-19.

Katanya, walaupun terdapat peningkatan kes baru setiap hari dilaporkan, terutama di Sabah, jumlah kes yang sembuh setiap hari juga meningkat.

Oleh itu, katil kosong boleh digunakan untuk kes baru. Di samping itu, KKM sentiasa meneliti keadaan semasa dan mempunyai rancangan untuk meningkatkan kapasiti katil jika diperlukan, “tambahnya.
