Ketua Pembangkang Perak, Dr. Abdul Aziz Bari berkata Menteri Besar Perak, DS Ahmad Faizal Azumu sepatutnya lebih serius dan bertindak proaktif dalam mendepani dakwaan terbaru mengenai skandal tanah di negeri ini.

Menurut Aziz, beliau seharusnya berani berdepan dengan pihak media untuk menjawab persoalan dan bukannya sekadar mengeluarkan kenyataan media untuk memberikan kerjasama dalam siasatan SPRM.

“Adalah tidak memadai bagi Menteri Besar hanya sekadar mengeluarkan kenyataan menafikan dakwaan berkenaan. Beliau perlu berani berhadapan dengan media.

“Sejak memegang jawatan itu pada 12 Mei 2018 beliau lebih dikenali sebagai Ketua kerajaan yang suka mengelak bertemu media, “katanya dalam satu kenyataan yang dikeluarkan melalui group Whatsapp media Aziz Bari pada 8 Sept 2020.

Sehari sebelum itu, Ahmad Faizal mengeluarkan kenyataan beliau mengambil maklum tentang laporan SPRM yang dibuat oleh Dato’ Hamidah Osman pada Isnin (7 Sept) berhubung dakwaan penyelewengan pemberian tanah di dalam satu surat layang yang tular di media sosial.

Kata Aziz lagi, pimpinan pusat Perikatan Nasional memilih untuk membisu dan tidak berbuat apa-apa. Janji untuk akur kepada prinsip dan mekanisme akauntabiliti Yang disebut oleh Perdana Menteri Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin baru-baru jelas hanya bertanam tebu di bibir.
