Penduduk Bimbang Banjir dan Tanah Runtuh, Bukit Ditarah Hampiri Kawasan Perumahan

Chemor, 12 Dis 2024 – Penduduk di Taman Chepor Indah, Taman Chepor Sentosa & RPT Batu 10 Chepor melahirkan kebimbangan dengan aktiviti penerokaan tanah di lereng bukit di pinggir Hutan Kledang Saiong yang dilihat tidak terkawal kerana semakin menghampiri kawasan kediaman mereka.

Seorang penduduk, Encik Azhar Shah mendakwa, dalam tempoh 4-5 tahun kebelakangan, aktiviti penerokaan hutan semakin merisaukan, di mana pemandangan di pinggir bukit yang dulunya menghijau kini tercemar dengan aktiviti yang didakwa adalah galian untuk mengeluarkan tanah merah & batuan.

Menurut Persatuan Aktivis Sahabat Alam, aktiviti penerokaan tanah di zon selatan sudah tidak jauh dengan kediaman penduduk dengan anggaran sekitar 50-100 meter. Ditambah pula kecerunan tanah agak tinggi sekitar 30-45 darjah, yang boleh mengundang kepada mendapan tanah yang teruk serta banjir lumpur dan tanah runtuh jika hujan berterusan.

Berdasarkan rekod lepas, Kampung RPT Batu 10 dan Taman Chepor Indah pernah terjadi peristiwa banjir akibat penerokaan tanah tidak terkawal daripada aktiviti pertanian dan penarahan bukit serta limpahan air sungai.

Pada tahun 2020, protes pernah diadakan oleh penduduk setempat mendesak kerajaan negeri menghentikan aktiviti penerokaan yang didakwa berlaku di dalam bekas kawasan Hutan Simpan Kledang Saiong (dinyahwarta) dan diberi milik kepada Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak namun telah diarah berhenti serta merta.

Pemandangan buruk yang boleh dilihat sepanjang jalan ke Chemor

Sejak baru-baru ini, ia disambung semula di bahagian lebih utara dan dilihat semakin meluas sehingga mencemar pemandangan indah pinggir hutan Kledang Saiong sepanjang jalan menuju ke Chemor.

Penduduk menggesa agar kerajaan negeri Perak dan agensi berkaitan memandang serius perkara ini sebelum kejadian bencana alam lebih teruk terjadi.

“Kami telah bertahun risau melihat keadaan bukit di Hutan Kledang Saiong, kami beli rumah di sini untuk menikmati pemandangan indah & suasana yang tenang, tetapi kini kami seolah tinggal di kawasan perlombongan dan pembalakan. Tolonglah hentikan projek ini kerana ia telah mencetuskan rasa tidak tenteram dalam kalangan penduduk” – kata Azhar Shah.
