Punca Letupan Kuat Masih ‘Misteri’

Kejadian letupan kuat yang mengejutkan warga Ipoh pada Khamis masih menjadi misteri setakat ini.

Menurut Menteri Besar Perak, YAB Ahmad Faizal Azumu, badan keselamatan seperti polis dan tentera telahpun mengesahkan bahawa kejadian letupan tersebut tiada kaitan dengan latihan yang dijalankan oleh mereka.

Jabatan Mineral dan Geosains menerusi siasatan yang dijalankan turut mengesahkan bahawa tiada sebarang aktiviti peletupan yang dijalankan oleh syarikat-syarikat kuari di Simpang Pulai.

Kerajaan bagaimanapun sedang menyiasat punca sebenar letupan kuat yang menggegarkan cermin tingkap bangunan serta kediaman di seluruh bandaraya Ipoh dan sebahagian kawasan lain di sekitarnya.

“Pihak kerajaan akan memperhebatkan lagi usaha untuk mencari punca letupan atau gegaran yang kita rasakan kelmarin.

“Saya sendiri pun nak tahu apakah punca sebenarnya,” kata Ahmad Faizal dalam sidang media selepas majlis makan malam di acara Sambutan Hari Guru Sedunia 2018 di sebuah hotel di Ipoh malam tadi.
