Pusat Khidmat ADUN Tidak Tawar Bantuan Untuk Warga Emas Seperti Ditularkan

IPOH | Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Kesejahteraan Sosial, Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Kebajikan Masyarakat, Negeri Perak Darul Ridzuan, Wong May Ing hari ini menegaskan bahawa Bantuan Kewangan Warga Emas seperti yang ditularkan dalam kawasan Taiping adalah tidak benar dan maklumat palsu.

Menurut mesej palsu tersebut, warga emas yang berumur 60 ke atas digesa pergi ke Pejabat Pakatan Harapan untuk mendapatkan Bantuan Kewangan Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) bernilai RM100.

Bagaimanapun, mesej ini telah dinafikan dalam kenyataan Wong May Ing hari ini.

Beliau berkata, disebabkan mesej tersebut, ramai warga emas yang kecewa apabila diberitahu setelah mereka pergi ke Pusat Khidmat DUN Pokok Assam dan Pusat Khidmat DUN Aulong tanya maklumat.

“Warga emas mengakui sangat kecewa apabila mereka diberi tahu ia mesej palsu, dan juga marah kepada kerajaan Pakatan Harapan,” kata Wong.

Menurut Wong lagi, memang benar JKM ada menyediakan bantuan untuk warga emas, tetapi bukan semua warga emas layak mendapatkannya.

“Kelayakan bantuan perlu berumur 60 tahun ke atas, tiada sumber pendapatan untuk menyara hidup, dan tiada keluarga atau mempunyai keluarga yang tidak berkemampuan untuk memberi sumbangan, katanya.

“Pemohon yang berkelayakan, kerajaan akan berikan RM300 sebulan sebagai saraan hidupnya.

“Permohonan boleh dibuat dengan hadir terus ke Pejabat Kebajikan Masyarakat Daerah/Jajahan/Bahagian di mana pemohon tinggal.

“Sekiranya pemohon menghadapi kesukaran untuk hadir ke pejabat, permohonan boleh dibuat menerusi surat, telefon atau e-mel.

“Kami memohon perhatian orang ramai, jangan terpedaya atau viralkan mesej palsu tersebut, sila rujuk kepada Majlis Daerah ataupun agensi-agensi berkenaan untuk mendapat maklumat tepat sekiranya mendapati viral sebegini berlaku lagi,” pesan beliau.
