PUTRAJAYA, 8 Dis  — Duti eksais bagi peranti rokok elektronik, peranti rokok bukan elektronik dan cecair atau gel rokok elektronik termasuk tanpa nikotin, dikenakan semasa pengimportan dan pelepasan daripada pengilang tempatan yang berkuat kuasa mulai 1 Januari depan.

Ketua Pengarah Kastam Datuk Seri Abdul Latif Abdul Kadir berkata peranti rokok elektronik dan peranti rokok bukan elektronik akan dikenakan duti eksais pada kadar  ‘ad valorem’ 10 peratus manakala cecair/gel rokok elektronik dan cecair/gel vape yang tidak bernikotin pada kadar 40 sen bagi setiap mililiter (ml).

Dalam satu kenyataan hari ini, beliau berkata pengilang tempatan juga perlu dilesenkan di bawah Seksyen 20 Akta Eksais 1976 dengan bayaran lesen sebanyak RM4,800 setahun manakala bayaran lesen gudang di bawah Seksyen 25 Akta Eksais 1976 adalah sebanyak RM2,400 setahun.

“Pengilang-pengilang tempatan hendaklah membuat permohonan lesen di Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia (JKDM) Zon/Negeri di mana lokasi premis kilang/gudang sebelum 15 Disember 2020,” katanya.

Menurut Abdul Latif, antara dokumen yang diperlukan ialah surat permohonan lesen eksais, borang JKDM No. 1, sijil pendaftaran perniagaan atau syarikat di bawah Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) atau pihak berkuasa tempatan untuk Sabah, Sarawak dan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan.

Turut diperlukan adalah dokumen senarai bahan mentah, senarai barang siap, carta alir proses pengilangan, kapasiti pengeluaran setahun dan pengakuan mengenai kandungan nikotin dalam cecair atau gel rokok elektronik.

“Pemegang lesen dikehendaki mematuhi syarat-syarat pelesenan dan mengemukakan jaminan bank untuk menjamin keselamatan hasil duti atau cukai,” katanya.
