Hampir kesemua bank tempatan seperti Maybank, CIMB serta Bank Islam mengeluarkan kenyataan melalui laman sesawang masing-masing untuk kembali mengenakan caj transaksi interbank bermula 1 Feb 2022.

Caj transaksi antara bank itu telah dikecualikan oleh kerajaan sejak April 2020 ketika tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan akibat pandemik Covid-19. Ia dibuat untuk menggalakkan orang ramai menggunakan kemudahan mesin MEPS terdekat dan mengurangkan pergerakan dan kesesakan tertumpu terhadap satu bank sahaja.

Dengan caj sebanyak RM1 yang kembali dikenakan, pelanggan masih boleh terus menikmati kemudahan pengeluaran tanpa dikenakan caj jika membuat pengeluaran wang di mesin ATM bank mereka sendiri.

Namun caj hanya dikenakan jika pelanggan pergi ke kemudahan MEPS di bank berlainan dari akaun bank mereka.
