Komponen parti Pakatan Harapan (PH) Perak boleh mengemukakan senarai nama calon mereka bagi mengisi jawatan Ahli Majlis Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT) seluruh daerah kepada Kerajaan Negeri, bermula hari ini sehingga 25 Jun 2018.
Ini berikutan pengumuman Menteri Besar, Ahmad Faizal Azumu, yang menamatkan perkhidmatan ahli-ahli majlis yang dilantik sebelum ini, pada Rabu.
Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perumahan, Kerajaan Tempatan, Pengangkutan Awam, Hal Ehwal Bukan Islam dan Kampung Baharu, Yong Choo Kiong berkata, mereka yang telah berkhidmat sebelum ini diberhentikan secara automatik, tanpa perlu dikemukakan sebarang notis atau surat.
“Majlis angkat sumpah jawatan ahli-ahli majlis dijangka akan diadakan selepas Dewan Undangan Negeri Perak bersidang. Mengikut undang-undang, ia harus bersidang daripada tempoh tiga bulan selepas parlimen dibubarkan.
“Oleh kerana sekarang merupakan bulan Ramadan ianya dirasakan tidak sesuai. Kita jangka ia akan diadakan selepas hari raya.
“Selepas semua Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri mengangkat sumpah, kita akan tetapkan satu tarikh untuk giliran Ahli Majlis PBT, dan akan dikuti dengan ketua-ketua kampung,” katanya.
Beliau yang bercakap kepada pemberita di Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan, Ipoh pada Jumaat.
