KUALA LUMPUR | Syarikat penerbitan majalah, Blu Inc Media Sdn Bhd menghentikan semua penerbitan digital dan cetaknya mulai hari ini, di tengah-tengah ketidakpastian berikutan krisis koronavirus.

Dalam surat bertarikh hari ini, yang ditandatangani oleh ketua eksekutifnya Azliza Ahmad Tajuddin, ia menyebut bahawa “tidak banyak yang kita dapat lihat pemulihan dari pergolakan ekonomi akibat pandemik Covid-19.”

“Perniagaan kami telah menghadapi cabaran hebat dari gangguan digital selama beberapa tahun terakhir.

“Walaupun kami telah membuat peningkatan pelaburan untuk membangun kemampuan digital kami, masih belum jelas apakah kami memperoleh daya tarikan yang cukup sementara kerugian terus meningkat.”

Blu Inc Media mempunyai 20 judul dalam bahasa Inggeris, Melayu dan Cina, termasuk Harper’s Bazaar, Malaysian Women’s Weekly, Jelita, Female, Her World, Glam dan Nuyou.

Kecuali enam kakitangan untuk membantu syarikat mengharungi proses itu, semua kakitangan yang lain akan menerima e-mel yang berasingan mengenai status pekerjaan mereka.
