PUTRAJAYA (Bernama) | Dasar tidak boleh beri hadiah sukar dilaksanakan di Malaysia walaupun ia telah diterima pakai oleh organisasi tertentu, kata Timbalan Ketua Pesuruhjaya (Pencegahan) Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) Datuk Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil.

“Dalam budaya kita, tidak wujud ‘dasar tidak boleh beri hadiah’. Sebagai contoh, mereka kata “dasar tidak boleh beri hadiah’ (dilaksanakan) tetapi masih beri hadiah korporat. Ini bermakna ‘dasar tidak boleh beri hadiah’ tidak dapat dilaksanakan,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Forum Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia di sini, hari ini.

Sebaliknya, beliau berkata sepatutnya ada “dasar beri hadiah” dengan menyediakan garis panduan tentang jenis hadiah yang boleh diterima.

“Sepatutnya ada dasar beri hadiah tentang apa yang boleh diterima atau jenis dan jumlah wang yang boleh diberikan. Sebab itu kenapa perlu ada garis panduan mengenai pembiayaan politik supaya ia tidak dimasukkan ke dalam akaun peribadi,” katanya.
