BAGAN SERAI | Jalan Bagan Serai – Selama ditutup kepada semua jenis kenderaan hari ini akibat banjir sejak pukul 11 malam tadi.

Jalan yang ditutup bermula dari Seksyen 10.5 Tol Alor Pongsu hingga Seksyen 19.3 Changkat Lobak. Mereka yang mahu melalui kawasan itu diminta mengambil laluan alternatif di Jalan Pintasan Alor Pongsu – Bukit Merah.

Kejadian banjir berlaku disebabkan paras air Sungai Beriah dan Sungai Kerian naik.

Sementara itu, kejadian ribut dilaporkan berlaku di Parit Air Hitam 3 dekat sini pada Jumaat lalu. 

Sebuah rumah mengalami kerosakan kerana bumbung diterbangkan oleh angin ribut tetapi penghuni dilaporkan selamat.
