Sejak memasuki bangunan Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri, selepas mengangkat sumpah sebagai Menteri Besar Perak, Ahmad Faizal bin Dato’ Azumu pertama kali mengadakan sidang medianya di Ipoh hari ini. Dalam perutusan kali peertamanya, beliau mengucapkan terima kasih kepada semua yang menyokong Pakatan Harapan sehingga berjaya mengambil alih kerajaan negeri dari pimpinan Barisan Nasional. Beliu turut menjelaskan bahawa setiap perkara yang telah dijalankan oleh kerajaan sebelum ini, jika ia adalah baik dan mendatangkan faedah kepada rakyat, beliau bersama rakan-rakan dalam Pakatan Harapan akan meneruskan usaha yang dimulakan dahulu, malah akan menambah baik jika terdapat sebarang kekurangan atau kelemahan.

Dalam sidang media ini, beliau tidak menamakan sesiapa yang akan dilantik menjadi Exco. Ia akan dibuat secepat mungkin dan beliau akan memaklumkan kepada media setelah nama-2 tersebut telah ditentukan.

Turut kelihatan dalam sidang media tersebut ialah ADUN Kuala Kurau YB Yunus Jamsari, ADUN Simpang Pulai YB Tan Meeng Kai, ADUN Ulu Kinta YB Arafat,
