SEMPORNA | Sebuah bot kastam ditembak di Semporna petang tadi.

Kejadian itu dipercayai ada kaitan dengan penyeludupan rokok.

Ketua Polis Daerah Semporna Sabarudin Rahmat mengesahkan kejadian itu berlaku kira-kira jam 5.30 petang di perairan berhampiran Pulau Mataking.

“Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia membuat laporan polis dan siasatan sedang dijalankan,” katanya kepada Bernama.

Star Online melaporkan bahawa tiada seorang pun daripada lima anggota Kastam yang cedera.

Ia berkata lebih daripada 50 tembakan disasarkan di atas bot.

Ia memetik komander Pasukan Keselamatan Timur Sabah (Esscom) Hazani Ghazali sebagai berkata pegawainya telah pergi ke tempat kejadian untuk menyiasat.
