Pengusaha hotel di Pulau Langkawi bersetuju menurunkan harga bilik antara 30% hingga 70% bagi menarik kehadiran pelancong susulan penularan Covid-19.

Naib Pengerusi Persatuan Hotel Malaysia (MAH) cawangan Kedah/Perlis, Razmi Rahmat berkata 45 pengusaha hotel yang bernaung di bawah MAH akan menawarkan diskaun itu untuk mengurangkan kesan kemerosotan ketibaan pelancong dan pembatalan tempahan hotel oleh pelancong China dan tempatan.

Tawaran itu akan disediakan sehingga tarikh yang akan diumumkan kemudian, katanya.

“Diskaun itu ditawarkan oleh hotel bertaraf tiga bintang dan ke atas. Orang ramai boleh menyemak laman web mereka atau media sosial untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenainya.

“Sebagai contoh, sebuah hotel bertaraf tiga bintang akan mempunyai tawaran menarik bermula dari RM150 dan tidak lebih daripada RM250 setiap malam,” katanya di sini hari ini.

Razmi berkata Langkawi selamat untuk dilawati dan orang ramai perlu memanfaatkan diskaun yang ditawarkan.

“Langkawi baru saja menjadi tuan rumah Le Tour de Langkawi 2020, yang bermaksud pulau itu selamat untuk dikunjungi,” katanya.
