Sehingga pagi ini, Ketua UMNO Sungai Besar, Datuk Seri Jamal Yunus yang menghilangkan diri dari hospital Ampang Puteri masih tidak dapat dikesan keberadaannya. Beliau sepatutnya menjalani proses ikat jamin mahkamah di wad hospital berkenaan.

Jamal sedang disiasat polis ekoran tindakannya memecah botol arak di hadapan pagar bangunan pentadbiran kerajaan negeri Selangor tahun lepas. Beliau juga mungkin disiasat atas laporan yang mendakwa beliau mempamerkan senjata api yang terselit di pinggangnya di tempat awam.

Jamal didapati lenyap dari pusat rawatan sakit belakang di hospital itu di antara pukul 5 dan 6 petang.

Peguam Jamal menyatakan bahawa perkara ini berlaku secara tidak sengaja disebabkan masalah komunikasi. Beliau bagaimanapun menggesa Jamal hadir ke balai polis untuk selesaikan proses ikat jamin.
