Kerajaan Selangor akan tuntut kos ganti rugi akibat paip pecah

SHAH ALAM, 11 Mei (Bernama) — Kerajaan Selangor akan menuntut kos ganti rugi daripada pemaju projek pembinaan Lebuh Raya West Coast Expressway (WCE) Banting-Taiping, susulan kejadian tiga paip utama pecah di kawasan itu yang mengakibatkan gangguan bekalan air di Klang sejak 4 Mei lepas.

Menteri Besar Selangor, Amirudin Shari berkata buat masa ini kerajaan negeri sedang membuat penilaian kos yang ditanggung akibat kejadian tersebut.

“Sepanjang berlaku gangguan bekalan air, kita bagi keutamaan untuk memastikan bekalan air pulih tetapi malangnya daripada insiden itu masih berlaku kebocoran (air daripada paip) dan kita tiada keupayaan selain membetulkannya.

“Kita sedang membuat penilaian kos yang telah kita tanggung dan bersedia menuntut daripada pihak pemaju yang mengakibatkan bekalan air ini terputus selama beberapa hari,” katanya ketika ditemui pemberita selepas majlis pelancaran Dasar Perumahan Mampu Milik di Elmina Central Park di sini, hari ini.

Mengulas lanjut, Amirudin berkata 91.5 peratus kawasan yang terjejas akibat kejadian paip pecah itu telah pulih sepenuhnya.

Katanya, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) kini sedang giat melakukan kerja pemulihan di kawasan yang masih mengalami gangguan bekalan air dan dijangka masalah itu akan dapat diatasi sepenuhnya, esok.

Insiden tiga paip utama pecah di tapak projek WCE sejak Sabtu lepas menyebabkan hampir 800,000 pengguna di 65 kawasan di Klang terjejas.
