SANDAKAN | DAP berjaya mempertahankan kerusi Parlimen Sandakan dalam Pilihan Raya Kecil Parlimen Sandakan (P186) hari ini selepas calonnya Vivian Wong Shir Yee, 30, menang dengan majoriti undi 11,521 mengatasi pencabar terdekatnya Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin  dari Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS). menurut laporan Bernama sebentar tadi.

Wong memperoleh 16,012 undi manakala Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin memperoleh 4,491 undi dan tiga calon bebas iaitu Hamzah Abdullah, 65, mendapat 788 undi, Chia Siew Yung, 46, (178 undi) dan Sulaiman Samat, 36, (126 undi).

Pegawai Pengurus PRK Parlimen Sandakan, Mohd Hamsan Awang Supain mengumumkan keputusan berkenaan di pusat penjumlahan rasmi undi di Dewan Aktiviti Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan Tiong Hua Sandakan di sini pada jam 9 malam ini.
