Di tengah-tengah peningkatan kes Covid-19 di seluruh dunia, Malaysia akan membuka sempadan kepada pelajar asing yang belajar di negara ini bermula 1 Januari 2021.

Bagaimanapun, ia tertakluk kepada pengecualian terhadap mereka yang datang dari United Kingdom di mana stren baru koronavirus muncul baru-baru ini.

Menurut Menteri Kanan Keselamatan, mereka yang diterima masuk adalah mereka yang kembali ke universiti dan sekolah di sini dan mereka yang telah mendapat tawaran belajar di negara ini.

Katanya keputusan ini dibuat oleh Majlis Keselamatan Negara bersama Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi.

“Mereka yang akan datang ke sini akan melalui ujian Covid-19 dan ujian calitan sebaik mereka tiba di lapangan terbang, “katanya semasa sidang media hari ini.

Tambahnya, mereka juga perlu menjalani kuarantin wajib selama 10 hari di tempat yang ditentukan dan kos akan ditanggung oleh pelajar.
