Kota Kinabalu | Ketua Menteri Sabah, Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal hari ini mengumumkan Gabenor Negeri Sabah, Juhar Mahiruddin telah memberi perkenan untuk membubarkan Dewan Undangan Negeri agar pilihanraya negeri diadakan.

Ia berikutan dakwaan bekas Ketua Menteri Sabah, Datuk Seri Musa Aman bahawa beliau mempunyai jumlah sokongan yang mencukupi untuk menubuhkan kerajaan baru di negeri itu.

Shafie yang merupakan Ahli Parlimen Semporna mengadap Juhar pagi ini.

Sebanyak 73 kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri akan dipertandingkan termasuk 13 kerusi baharu yang diluluskan di parlimen tahun lepas.

Menurut beliau, dalam masa 60 hari selepas DUN negeri terbuabar, beliau masih mempunyai peranan sebagai ‘care taker’ (Ketua Menteri sementara).

Shafie sebelum ini menerajui negeri Sabah melalui parti Warisan yang menyokong Pakatan Harapan setelah memenangi majoriti dalam pilihan raya umum ke 14.
