IPOH – Sidang Dewan Undangan Negeri Perak Mesyuarat Pertama bagi penggal 14 hari ini bermula dengan pertikaman lidah antara ADUN pembangkang dan ADUN kerajaan Pakatan Harapan.

Kekecohan bermula apabila barisan pembangkang meminta Dewan mendedahkan nama calon Speaker yang menarik diri. ADUN Kota Tampan, Datuk Saarani Mohamad yang membangkitkan perkara itu meminta Setiausaha DUN Perak, Kamarulariffin Ayub mengemukakan nama tersebut. Bagaimanapun Kamarulariffin menjelaskan tiada keperluan kerana calon itu sudah menarik diri.

ADUN Pengkalan Baharu, Datuk Abdul Manaf Hashim kemudian bingkas bangun meminta penjelasan mengapa ia tidak boleh didedahkan. Perang mulut mula berlaku antara pihak pembangkang dan kerajaan sebelum undi dibuat bagi melantik Speaker DUN.

Bagi Pakatan Harapan, wakil Tebing Tinggi, Dr. Aziz Bari mencadangkan nama Ngeh Koo Ham sebagai calon Yang diPertua dan disokong oleh wakil rakyat Pasir Panjang, Yahaya Mat Nor. PAS mencalonkan Misbahul Munir oleh wakil Gunung Semanggol, Haji Razman Zakaria manakala Barisan Nasional melalui wakil Bota, Khairul Shahril mencadangkan Nasaruddin Hashim disokong oleh wakil Changkat Jering, Ahmad Saidi bin Daud.

Undian Pemilihan Speaker

Setelah pengundian dijalankan, Ahli Parlimen Beruas, Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham menerima 31 undi, Misbahul Munir menerima 3 undi dan Nasaruddin menerima 25 undi. Maka Dato Ngeh Koo Ham dipilih sebagai Tuan Yang diPertua Dewan Undangan Negeri Perak bagi penggal ke-14.
