IPOH, 12 Sept — Polis Perak akan melakukan siasatan dalaman berhubung kes rasuah melibatkan seorang Lans Koperal yang ditahan reman oleh Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) semalam.

Ketua Polis Perak Datuk Razarudin Husain@Abd Rasid berkata siasatan itu akan dilakukan oleh Jabatan Integriti dan Pematuhan Standard (JIPS) Perak.

“Kes ini masih dalam reman SPRM dan saya akan tunggu sampai siasatan pihak SPRM habis, di pihak polis pula, kita akan lakukan siasatan dalaman yang akan diambil oleh JIPS Perak.

“Saya tidak mahu komen lebih, saya percaya tangkapan-tangkapan oleh pihak SPRM ini mesti ada keterangan yang munasabah baru ia dilakukan,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita ketika ditemui pada majlis Pemakaian Pangkat Pegawai Kanan Polis dan Serah Terima Tugas Ketua Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti (JPJKK) negeri di Mess Pegawai Kanan Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) Perak di sini hari ini.

Semalam, seorang hakim Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Ipoh dan seorang Lans Koperal polis direman selama lima hari bagi membantu siasatan melepaskan seorang pegawai polis daripada kes khalwat.

Siasatan ke atas kedua-dua individu berkenaan masing-masing berumur 37 dan 30 tahun dibuat mengikut Seksyen 17(b) Akta SPRM 2009.

Sementara itu, pada majlis berkenaan, P/SAC S. Suresh Kumar akan menggantikan SAC Mohamad Laham sebagai Ketua JPJKK negeri yang akan bersara pada 14 Sept setelah berkhidmat selama 37 tahun dalam PDRM.
