KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) | Seramai 1,128 pelajar Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam (IPTA) dan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Swasta (IPTS), akan balik kampung dalam tempoh 24 jam bermula malam ini, kata Menteri Kanan (Kluster Keselamatan) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Beliau berkata daripada jumlah itu seramai 863 pelajar akan dihantar pulang dari zon tengah ke zon utara malam ini, manakala 265 pelajar akan dihantar pulang dari zon utara ke zon tengah pada malam esok.

“Proses penghantaran pulang itu melibatkan sembilan universiti, 49 buah bas, ke 17 destinasi.

“Bas akan disanitasi tiga jam sebelum bertolak ke destinasi, selain bagasi yang dibawa pelajar terbabit juga akan disanitasi,” katanya pada sidang media harian mengenai PKP di sini hari ini.

Beliau berkata setibanya pelajar di ‘drop-off’ point sekitar pukul 9 pagi esok, hanya seorang ahli keluarga yang mempunyai kenderaan dibenarkan mengambil pelajar tersebut, manakala bagi mereka yang tiada kenderaan, pihak barisan hadapan akan menghantar pelajar terus ke rumah masing-masing.
