IPOH | Menteri Besar Perak Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu mahu kerajaan persekutuan menimbangkan kebenaran kepada industri yang menyumbang kepada ekonomi negeri semasa tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP).

Menteri Besar itu berkata penangguhan banyak aktiviti memberi kesan kepada ekonomi negeri. Antara industri yang boleh dibenarkan meneruskan operasi ialah pembalakan kerana ia tidak melibatkan ramai orang.

Katanya kayu boleh rosak jika penggantungan berterusan. Selain itu, ada juga pesanan tertunggak, katanya kepada wartawan setelah “sahur” (makan sebelum subuh) dengan barisan depan di sekatan jalan raya di plaza tol Jelapang di sini awal hari ini.

Menurutnya lagi, satu lagi sektor yang boleh dibenarkan ialah industri kuari kerana ia juga tidak melibatkan ramai orang dan lokasinya terletak jauh dari kawasan kediaman.

“Untuk industri kuari, kerajaan negeri dibenarkan membuat keputusan dan kami akan pilih untuk benarkan industri ini beroperasi,” ujarnya.
