Reformis Muda Perak Akan Berhimpun Bantah Program LGBT

Kumpulan yang menamakan diri mereka ‘Reformis Muda Perak (RMP)’ hari ini mengeluarkan kenyataan akan berhimpun menyatakan bantahan terhadap program MOOD Republik yang mempromosi budaya lesbian, gay, biseksual, transeksual (LGBT) di Meru Raya.

Program MOOD Republik yang akan berlangsung dari 29 hingga 30 September itu bakal menampilkan ikon LGBT, Nur Sajat. Dikhabarkan sebanyak RM10,000 wang tunai disediakan untuk cabutan bertuah dalam program tersebut. Ia dilihat seolah-olah menggalakkan aktiviti LGBT di kalangan masyarakat di sini.

Presiden RMP, Roslan Ali berkata RMP menyatakan bantahan kerana tidak mahu program LGBT memberi kesan buruk kepada rakyat negeri ini.

“Tiada tempat IKON LGBT dalam promosi di Negeri Perak.

“Kami mahukan program tazkirah dan majlis ilmu diadakan di Perak, bukan program yang menempah malapetaka untuk rakyat tanpa mengira bangsa,” katanya.

Perhimpunan secara aman untuk menyatakan bantahan terhadap program itu akan diadakan di hadapan Hotel Casuarina@Meru pada pukul 10 pagi ini. Menurutnya, ia sebagai mesej bahawa rakyat Perak menolak ikon LGBT dari mendapat promosi di negeri ini.

Selain RMP, Pemuda Amanah Tapah turut menyatakan bantahan mereka terhadap program tersebut kelmarin. Beberapa pertubuhan bukan kerajaan juga turut sama menyatakan bantahan. Antaranya ialah Majlis Ayahanda-Ayahanda Perak (Maap) dan Persatuan Peniaga Keretapi Tanah Melayu.
