Belanjawan 2021: Kerajaan Kenakan Cukai 10% Pada Rokok dan Vape

Menteri Kewangan Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz mengumumkan bahawa kerajaan akan mengenakan cukai eksais 10% ke atas semua rokok elektronik dan bukan elektronik.

Semasa pembentangan Belanjawan 2021 hari ini, Zafrul mengatakan cukai baru itu akan dikenakan pada alat vaping dan juga cecairnya.

Menurutnya, cecair vape akan dikenakan cukai eksais sebanyak RM0.40 sen / ml.

Cukai baru akan bermula pada 1 Januari 2021.

Sementara itu, Zafrul juga mengatakan kerajaan juga akan menghentikan pengeluaran lesen import rokok baru.

Berikut adalah langkah-langkah lain yang berkaitan dengan rokok yang diumumkan dalam Belanjawan 2021:

  • Mengetatkan syarat pembaharuan lesen import rokok dengan mengenakan kuota import
  • Mengehadkan aktiviti penghantaran rokok ke pelabuhan tertentu sahaja
  • Mengenakan cukai pada semua rokok yang diimport untuk tujuan penghantaran dan eksport semula.
  • Melarang penghantaran dan eksport rokok menggunakan kapal kecil.
  • Mengenakan cukai ke atas rokok dan produk tembakau di semua pulau bebas cukai.
