Dalang Pendatang Tanpa Izin Di Sabah Akan Diburu

KOTA KINABALU, 8 Feb (Bernama) – Dalang di sebalik pendatang tanpa izin ke negeri ini akan diburu, kata Timbalan Menteri Dalam Negeri Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman.

Beliau berkata luas kawasan pesisiran pantai di timur Sabah, sepanjang lebih dari 1,700 kilometer, telah menyumbang kepada kewujudan ‘lorong tikus’ (laluan tersembunyi) untuk pendatang tanpa izin menyelinap masuk ke negeri ini.

“Ini telah lama menjadi penghalang dalam menangani kemasukan pendatang tanpa izin ke negeri ini.

“Orang-orang ini akan diburu dan jika mereka didapati terlibat dengan pendatang tanpa izin, tindakan tegas akan diambil terhadap mereka,” katanya selepas operasi penguatkuasaan yang dijalankan oleh Jabatan Imigresen Sabah malam tadi.

Turut hadir Pengarah Imigresen Sabah Datuk Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin.

Mohd Azis, yang juga Ahli Parlimen Sepanggar, berkata pihak polis dan Jabatan Imigresen mengetahui beberapa laluan tikus yang sering digunakan oleh pendatang tanpa izin untuk memasuki negeri itu.

Mohd Azis juga berkata sepanjang tahun lepas, Jabatan Imigresen Sabah telah menjalankan 1,199 operasi penguatkuasaan terhadap pendatang tanpa izin di negeri itu dan sejumlah 28,555 individu diperiksa.

Beliau berkata daripada jumlah itu, 4,180 pendatang tanpa izin dan 23 majikan telah ditangkap manakala 12,230 yang lain dihantar balik ke negara asalnya dan beliau mahu usaha untuk menghantar pulang pendatang tanpa izin itu diteruskan.
