KUALA LUMPUR | PAS akan membuat usul undi percaya terhadap kepimpinan Dr Mahathir Mohamad dalam persidangan Dewan Rakyat bulan depan.

Tujuan usul itu dibuat adalah untuk memastikan kestabilan dalam senario politik dan ekonomi negara, kata Timbalan Presidennya Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

“Kami melihat beliau (Tun Mahathir) perlu kekal sebagai Perdana Menteri sehingga akhir penggal ini. Walau bagaimanapun, nampaknya krisis tidak pernah berakhir dan ini telah mengganggu senario politik dan ekonomi, “katanya kepada pemberita pada mesyuarat bulanan parti di sini hari ini.

Menurut Setiausaha Agung PAS Takiyuddin Hassan, sekiranya ada pihak yang tidak berpuas hati dengan Perdana Menteri, mereka boleh mengemukakan usul tidak percaya dan sekiranya berjaya, Perdana Menteri perlu melepaskan jawatan, atau menasihati Yang di-Pertuan Agong untuk membubarkan Parlimen.

“Sekarang ni tak ada usul tak percaya, hanya cakap-cakap kosong sahaja bahawa Perdana Menteri ini tak mendapat sokongan, dan individu lain ada sokongan untuk menjadi Perdana Menteri.

“(Disebabkan) tak ada, kita yang akan bawa usul undi percaya kepada Perdana Menteri,” katanya.

PAS sebelum ini secara terbuka menyatakan sokongan terhadap Mahathir untuk kekal sebagai Perdana Menteri sehingga tamat penggal pada 2023.
