IPOH: Pengorbanan guru-guru kelas pendidikan khas wajar diberikan penghargaan kerana kesudian dan kesungguhan mereka mendidik serta membentuk pelajar-pelajar yang berkebolehan meskipun mereka dianggap istimewa.

Menurut Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pendidikan, AlamSekitar, Sains danTeknologi, YB Prof Dr. Abdul Aziz Bari, guru-guru seperti inilah yang banyak bekerja keras kerana berjaya melahirkan ramai pelajar yang berkebolehan dan cemerlang.

“Orang macam mereka lebih sesuai untuk mendapat gelaran datuk berbanding ahli politik’’ kata Dr Abdul Aziz dalam ucapannya semasa menutup Karnival Kemahiran Pendidikan Khas Kebangsaan 2018 di Hotel Tower Regency, Ipoh malam tadi.

Beliau seterusnya berkata, kerajaan negeri amat menyokong program-program pembangunan pelajar pendidikan khas seperti ini.

Katanya, bakat mereka dapat digilap kepada peringkat yang pelajar biasa juga sukar atau tidak mampu melakukannya.

“Saya sendiri melihat persembahan mereka dan mereka sememangnya mempunyai bakat terpendam yang saya fikir pelajar biasa juga sukar untuk melakukannya” ujarnya.

Program anjuran Unit Pendidikan Khas Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri itu disertai 450 orang Murid Berkeperluan Khas dari seluruh negara melibatkan 10 pertandingan berkaitan kemahiran yang dipelajari dalam kurikulum Pendidikan Khas Kebangsaan.
