Perak Bakal Terima Lebih Ramai Pelancong Dalam Masa Terdekat

IPOH – Menteri Besar Perak, Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu membayangkan lebih banyak penerbangan domestik dan antarabangsa ke Ipoh akan diadakan untuk meningkatkan sektor pelancongan negeri Perak dalam masa terdekat ini.

Beliau berkata demikian semasa sidang media selepas acara pelancaran penerbangan pesawat komersial AirAsia Ipoh – Singapura di Lapangan Terbang Sultan Azlan Shah, Ipoh hari ini.

Menurutnya, Perak mencatatkan seramai 7,639,800 pelancong domestik dan 267,245 pelancong antarabangsa tahun lalu. Ini menunjukkan Perak berada di landasan yang betul untuk menerima lebih ramai pelancong dari luar datang melawat ke negeri ini.

“Kami bekerja keras untuk memastikan segala kemudahan berada dalam keadaan yang baik untuk menyambut kedatangan semua pelancong ke Perak.

“Saya juga teruja mendapat tahu bahawa AirAsia akan menambah jumlah penerbangan Ipoh – Johor Bharu dari 4 kali seminggu kepada 7 kali seminggu bermula tahun hadapan,” kata Ahmad Faizal.

Beliau menyambut baik berita sedemikian dan berharap lebih ramai pelancong domestik datang ke Perak dengan itu akan meningkatkan jumlah pelancong pada 2019.

“Dengan lebih banyak penerbangan akan tiba di sini, kerajaan negeri akan menggiatkan inisiatif untuk mencari kaedah terbaru untuk meningkatkan sektor pelancongan dan kami berharap akan bekerjasama dengan AirAsia dan pihak-pihak yang berkaitan berkenaan perkara ini,” ujar Ahmad Faizal lagi.

Beliau turut mengucapkan tahniah kepada AirAsia kerana menyediakan penerbangan terbaru ini dan berharap akan ada lebih banyak lagi penerbangan antarabangsa ke Ipoh dalam masa terdekat.

Dalam majlis itu, beliau sempat menyampaikan buah tangan kepada pelancong/penumpang yang turun dari pesawat penerbangan sulung dari Singapura tengahari ini. Turut hadir ialah Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pelancongan, Kesenian dan Kebudayaan, YB Tan Kar Hing dan YB Yong Chee Keong.
