IPOH | Tourism Perak telah menyenaraikan Kampung Kacang Putih di Buntong sebagai satu lagi produk pelancongan dalam carta pelancongan negeri Perak.

Kampung yang diberi nama sempena perusahaan kacang putih yang berpusat di situ adalah satu-satunya kampung yang mengusahakan produk kacang putih secara berkelompok di negara ini.

Ini akan membantu menarik pelancong dari pelbagai bangsa malah pelancong antarabangsa berkunjung ke sini untuk mendapatkan kacang putih yang menjadi ikon kampung ini.

EXCO Pelancongan negeri Perak, YB Tan Kar Hing dalam lawatannya bersama EXCO Sumber Manusia, YB A. Sivanesan hari ini untuk melihat projek pintu gerbang kampung berkenaan berkata gerbang itu bakal menjadi mercu tanda kepada perusahaan kacang putih yang popular di seluruh Malaysia ini dan produk kacang putih pula menjadi salah satu kebanggaan negeri Perak dan disenaraikan dalam ‘Pride of Perak’.

“Pride of Perak adalah salah satu projek di bawah portfolio saya untuk menarik pelancong datang ke negeri Perak,” katanya.

Sebanyak RM50,000 telah disalurkan melalui Tourism Perak kepada Persatuan Penjual Kacang Putih Ipoh Perak dan Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh diberi peranan untuk membina pintu gerbang kampung tersebut.

Beliau juga berkata ini adalah usaha awal kerajaan negeri untuk meningkatkan sektor pelancongan negeri dan berharap akan meneruskan kerjasama dengan persatuan untuk mengangkat kacang putih sebagai satu kebanggaan negeri Perak.

Mengulas mengenai lawatan hari ini, beliau berpuas hati dengan kemajuan setakat ini. Turut serta dalam lawatan ini ialah Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Tourism Perak, Puan Zuraida Md Taib.
