IPOH | Lebih 30,000 orang pengunjung dijangka mengunjungi Ekspo Antarabangsa Perak 2019 (PIEX) yang berlangsung selama empat hari bermula 14 November hadapan di Stadium Indera Mulia Ipoh.

Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pelaburan dan Pembangunan Koridor negeri, Dato’ Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin berkata ekspo itu menggabungkan kerjasama di antara kerajaan negeri, Dewan Perniagaan dan Perindustrian Cina Perak (PCCCI), Dewan Perniagaan dan Perindustrian Melayu Perak (DPPMP) serta Dewan Perniagaan dan Perindustrian India Perak (PICCI).

“Sesuai dengan tema Menduniakan Peluang Tanpa Batasan, saya melihat PIEX 2019 sebagai pintu gerbang kepada masyarakat peniaga dan pelabur sedia ada dan baharu untuk meninjau potensi di negeri ini.

“Kali terakhir acara sebesar ini dianjurkan ialah 20 tahun lalu, ia menghimpunkan pameran perdagangan, dialog akademik, persembahan produk kebanggaan Perak dan festival bina niaga.

“Ekspo ini menyediakan lebih 400 gerai jualan menjadi platform untuk membesarkan pasaran sedia dan membuka peluang baharu pelaburan dan perdagangan di kalangan pemain industri,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas menyaksikan Majlis Menandatangani Memorandum Persefahaman (MoU) di antara PCCCI, DPPMP dan PICCI di Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan, di sini pada Jumaat.

Turut hadir, Presiden PCCCI, Datuk Liew Sew Yee, Yang DiPertua DPPMP, Datuk Muhammad Muhiyuddin Abdullah dan Presiden PICCI, Ravi Sankar Subramaniam.

Persekutuan Pekilang-Pekilang Malaysia (FMM) cawangan Perak turut menyatakan sokongan dan komitmen dalam penganjuran Ekspo ini. PIEX 2019 merangkumi empat acara besar yang berlangsung serentak termasuk pameran niaga PIEX 2019, Dialog Pembangunan Antarabangsa Pangkor, Festival Startup Perak dan Pride of Perak Showcase.

Turut terlibat dalam pameran niaga ini ialah Perak Halal Fest, Kempen Sayangi Minyak Sawit dan pameran khas Proton.
