IPOH | Acara Perak Drag Racing Jamboree 2019 akan diadakan pada 26 Oktober ini di Taman Tema MAPS, Meru Raya.

Drag Racing merupakan satu acara sukan permotoran dan penganjuran ini adalah yang terbesar pernah diadakan di Malaysia. Pihak penganjur, iaitu Persatuan Persatuan Kebajikan Usahawan Melayu Perak bersama Malaysia United Speed Community (MUSC) mensasarkan kehadiran 30,000 pengunjung dari seluruh negara termasuk peminat sukan itu dari negara Thailand, Singapura dan Indonesia.

Perlumbaan ini menawarkan hadiah berjumlah RM70,000 yang mana ganjaran wang tunai ini bukan saja untuk pelumba kereta dan motosikal malah ia juga untuk menarik minat pelumba kereta dan motosikal jalanan (Mat Rempit) agar mereka menolak aktiviti lumba haram.

“Kami juga komited untuk menjadikan program ini platform yang efektif bagi membantu pihak berkuasa seperti Agensi Anti Dadah Kebangsaan dan Polis Diraja
Malaysia untuk bekerjasama dengan masyarakat terutamanya golongan muda dalam Kempen Perangi Dadah Habis-habisan! dan Bersama Mencegah Jenayah.” kata Mohd Hafez Mubin Mohd Salleh, Pegawai Khas Kanan Menteri Besar Perak.

Menurutnya lagi, pada hari tersebut, pihak PDRM turut menawarkan masyarakat setempat diskaun sehingga 50% untuk bayaran saman trafik.

“Ayuh orang-orang Perak! Jangan lepaskan peluang untuk bersama kami. Kita kasi Ipoh Menjerit kali ini!” kata Mubin.
