IPOH | Menteri Besar Perak Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu gagal mendapat majoriti dalam undi percaya yang diadakan di Sidang Dewan Negeri Perak hari ini.

Usul yang dibawa oleh Dato’ Abdul Manaf bin Hashim (Pengkalan Baru – UMNO) itu hanya mendapat 10 undi sahaja.

Daripada 59 jumlah wakil rakyat, 48 mengundi menolak undi percaya itu manakala 1 undi rosak.

Jika diambil kira tempoh menjawat jawatan itu semasa menerajui kerajaan Perikatan Nasional, ini merupakan tempoh paling singkat iaitu selama 9 bulan sejak Mac lalu. Beliau sebelum itu menjadi Menteri Besar selama 22 bulan ketika bersama Pakatan Harapan. Selepas langkah Sheraton, beliau mengambil keputusan untuk bergabung bersama UMNO dan PAS untuk membentuk kerajaan dan dipilih semula sebagai Menteri Besar.

Dengan keputusan undian itu, sidang dewan negeri ditangguhkan sehingga ke Rabu depan bagi urusan mengadap istana.

Sumber menyatakan bahawa Ahmad Faizal juga akan memohon untuk mengadap untuk menyembah maklum perkembangan terkini politik di negeri ini.
