Setelah membuat pertimbangan sedalam-dalamnya berkenaan kedudukan dalam kerajaan, akhirnya EXCO Perumahan, Kerajaan Tempatan, Hal- Ehwal Bukn Islam dan Kampung Baharu, YB Paul Yong Choo Kiong mengambil keputusan untuk bercuti buat sementara bagi jawatan ahli EXCO untuk membolehkan beliau memberi fokus kepada kes yang sedang dibicarakan.

Beliau juga mengakui bahawa beliau harus meletakkan hal ehwal negeri sebagai keutamaan berbanding isu peribadi.

Paul Yong juga telah mengarahkan peguamnya untuk memohon mahkamah menetapkan tarikh perbicaraan seawal yang mungkin agar kebenaran dapat dibuktikan secepat mungkin.

Bagaimanapun, beliau dalam kenyataannya berkata, akan tetap berkhidmat sebagai Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Tronoh seperti biasa.
