Pembesaran LTSAS Oleh Swasta Lebih Murah Dari Bina Lapangan Terbang Baru

IPOH: Pembesaran Lapangan Terbang Sultan Azlan Shah (LTSAS) sebagai lapangan terbang serantau yang bakal menggunakan inisiatif pembiayaan swasta (PFI) dilihat jauh lebih murah daripada kos pembinaan sebuah lapangan terbang baharu.

Namun begitu, menurut Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pelaburan, Industri dan Pembangunan Wilayah negeri, Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, hasrat kerajaan negeri ini untuk membina sebuah lapangan terbang antarabangsa di Daerah Batang Padang, akan tetap diteruskan sebagai langkah jangka masa panjang.

“Dalam masa tiga bulan ini, kerajaan negeri akan diberikan laporan oleh pihak perunding.

“Mereka memang pakar dalam mengembangkan lapangan terbang… Selepas dibuat spesifikasi dan kerajaan bersetuju, baru kita buat tender untuk mencari kontraktor berpengalaman untuk melaksanakan projek tersebut.

“Kita buat ikut standard antarabangsa kerana penerbangan ini untuk lapangan terbang serantau, maknanya dalam empat ke lima jam perjalanan dari Ipoh, itu target kita. (Misalnya) Penerbangan Hong Kong ke Ipoh, Guangzhou ke Ipoh atau New Delhi ke Ipoh. Kita cuba merancang supaya sekurang-kurangnya Ipoh ini dikenali di rantau ini dan mudah didatangi oleh para pelabur,’’ katanya.

Mohammad Nizar yang juga Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Sungai Rapat berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan pertandingan memancing Sungai Pinji 2019 anjuran Surau Al Mujahideen, Pekan Razaki , Ipoh pada  Selasa.

Beliau menambah, kerajaan Kerajaan negeri berhasrat untuk membesarkan Lapangan Terbang Sultan Azlan Shah (LTSAS) di sini dengan memanjangkan serta melebarkan landasan sedia ada termasuk menaik taraf infrastruktur di terminal, sebagai langkah jangka pendek bagi memudahkan kehadiran pelancong dan pelabur ke Perak.

Katanya,  kajian awal mendapati LTSAS masih boleh dipanjangkan tetapi kerajaan negeri harus mencari tapak lain bagi memindahkan kira-kira 80 buah rumah berdekatan yang terlibat, dengan pemberian pampasan mengikut harga pasaran.
