Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) hari ini memfailkan permohonan di bawah Akta Pencegahan Pengubahan Wang Haram, Pencegahan Pembiayaan Keganasan dan Hasil Aktiviti Haram 2001 (Amla) untuk mendapatkan semula wang berkaitan 1MDB berjumlah RM270 juta daripada 41 individu, organisasi, dan syarikat.

Ketua Pesuruhjaya SPRM, Latheefa Koya berkata sebanyak RM212 juta daripada wang itu dituntut SPRM daripada bahagian-bahagian Umno.

“Permohonan ini untuk mendapatkan semula wang 1MDB yang disalah guna,” katanya pada sidang media di ibu pejabat SPRM di Putrajaya, hari ini.

Antara persatuan yang dinamakan dalam tuntutan sivil itu adalah Pertubuhan Kebajikan Dakwah Islamiyah Malaysia (Pekida), Akademi Pemuda, Yayasan Permata Malaysia, Gerakan Belia Gagasan 1 Malaysia, Yayasan Tun Hussein Onn, Yayasan Pendidikan Transformasi, dan Yayasan Rahah.

Antara syarikat yang dinamakan pula adalah IPG Mediabrands Sdn Bhd, Media Edge CIA (M) Sdn Bhd, Jakel Trading, Jakel Trading Sdn Bhd, Habib Jewels Sdn Bhd, dan Naza Quest Auto Sdn Bhd.
