Cubaan ibu bapa remaja Ireland yang ditemui mati, Nora Anne Quoirin, 15, untuk membuat bedah siasat kali ke-2 terhadap mayat anak mereka tidak menjejaskan keyakinan terhadap ahli patologi tempatan.

Menurut Timbalan Menteri Kesihatan, Dr. Lee Boon Chye, ia terpulang kepada keluarga mangsa yang mahu membuat bedah siasat kali kedua di luar negara.

“Itu hak mereka. Kita memang yakin kepada profesionalisme pakar-pakar patologi yang buat post-mortem di negara ini, ini tidak menggugat keyakinan kepada ahli patologi kita,” katanya kepada pemberita dalam satu sidang media selepas membuat lawatan ke kuil Sri Maha Mariaman dekat Simpang Pulai yang diceroboh baru-baru ini.

Ibu bapa Nora Anne, Mirror, Maebh Jaseprine Quoirin, 45 dan Sebastian Marie Philipe, 47 sedang mempertimbangkan tindakan itu bagi memastikan ahli patologi tempatan tidak terlepas sebarang bukti yang boleh dikaitkan dengan kematian Nora Anne.

Mayat Nora Anne ditemui kira-kira pukul 2 petang pada Rabu oleh sekumpulan pendaki yang menyertai operasi mencari dan menyelamat (SAR) kira-kira 2.5 kilometer dari lokasi dia dilaporkan hilang.

Sebelum itu, Nora Anne dilaporkan hilang sejak 4 Ogos di sebuah resort di Pantai, Seremban tempat keluarganya menginap.
